A single reporting format standardized for acceptance by all the major GPOs is an exciting leap forward for the industry. Using the new template will save suppliers time and effort because they will have one data spec to follow, causing fewer hassles and less rework. The standard format was developed by an industry workgroup which included GPO, distributor, and manufacturer leaders who recognize that adoption of a new standard must be embraced by both GPOs and their trading partners.
