Since its founding in 1902 more than 120 years ago, HIDA has been a leader and a champion for the healthcare distribution industry. Most recently, HIDA led industry advocacy efforts through the COVID-19 pandemic and continues to be an advocate and facilitator for public-private partnerships for healthcare supply chain resilience. In 2024, the House of Representatives overwhelmingly approved FAST PASS language – championed by HIDA for many years – in a bipartisan amendment, and sent the bill to the Senate.
