HIDA Launches New Distributor Map

Nationwide network of medical product distributors connects supply chain to local healthcare providers

Alexandria, VA – January 31, 2022 – The Health Industry Distributors Association (HIDA) today published a new interactive map of medical product distribution centers in the United States. More than 500 distribution centers in 46 states are represented by HIDA’s Distributor Map.

Access the Interactive Distributor Map here.

“The new map shows the reach of the commercial distribution channel. This broad network is a strategic resource for healthcare and the country that delivers medical supplies the last mile to patients and consumers,” said HIDA President and CEO Matthew J. Rowan. “Every day, healthcare distributors play a critical role in connecting the global, near-sourced and domestic supply chain that saves healthcare providers time and money.”

Collectively, these distribution centers serve over 560,000 healthcare provider locations in the United States – 6,000 hospitals, 44,500 nursing homes and assisted living facilities, 230,000 physician offices, 267,000 laboratories and 12,200 home health agencies.

The map complements HIDA’s interactive map of domestic medical product manufacturers that was published in October 2021.
