HIDA Launches Commodities Dashboard

Regularly updated data allows HIDA members to track materials and cost underlying the manufacture and delivery of medical products

Alexandria, VA, July 21, 2022 – The Health Industry Distributors Association (HIDA) has launched a Commodities Dashboard to help members track market fluctuations for key commodities affecting the healthcare supply chain.

Many commodities have seen significant year-over-year price increases, including gasoline, diesel, cotton, copper, and aluminum. The Bureau of Labor Statistics Producer Price Index (PPI) continues to show month-to-month price increases in both goods and services. Commodity price movements generally reflect supply and demand, with lower supply leading to rising prices.

The dashboard will be updated monthly with government and industry data as well as timely and relevant news articles. View the latest HIDA Commodities Update.
