With demand for hospice care growing rapidly, these organizations can
offer a significant sales opportunity. Before you talk with these
providers, it is important to understand different types of hospices,
how these organizations function, who the purchasing decision-makers
are, and what their priorities are. In this webinar, Reisha Martin, RN
Executive Director of Capital Caring, a non-profit hospice and
palliative care organization in Alexandria, Virginia, will discuss:
- Hospice care and how it differs from palliative care
- Non-profit versus for-profit hospice and the management of these organizations
- Hospice reimbursement and payment models, including Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and charity care
- Quality metric reporting and best practices, particularly the
CAHPS survey (Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems)
- Hospice partnerships with vendors, and what you can do to stand out
