Team-To-Team Private Business Meetings

Automatically Scheduled By Mutual Interests

Meet live with current and prospective partners in targeted meetings to discuss opportunities, set business goals, and plan strategies for growth. Our appointment-setting software schedules meetings based on mutual interests. Participants receive a schedule of back-to-back 20-minute meetings – brief but effective.

The Executive Business Exchange (EBE) provides an excellent setting for manufacturer teams to meet with teams of decision-makers from key distributors, prospective distribution partners, group purchasing organizations, regional purchasing coalitions, and health systems.

How It Works

Register

Through July, you can sign up by checking the EBE box during registration. Manufacturers and suppliers must be HIDA Associate Members to participate.

Rank

In August, you will receive an email explaining how to select your preferred meeting partners.

View

In early September, you will receive your final schedule and meeting times.

Prep

Contact your meeting partners directly to set meeting agendas.

Meet!

Buyers (distributors, GPOs, IDNs) are seated; suppliers rotate every 20 minutes.

Tips: How To Get The Most From Your EBE Meetings

Bring The Right People

The goal is to find ways to build business together; bring the right people to maximize your results! Be sure to not only bring senior leadership but also account staff who will manage the relationship going forward.

Be Prepared

Meetings are short (20 minutes) so do your homework in advance so that you can jump right into the meeting.

Specify Companies You’re Open To Meet With

We recommend ranking 20-30 organizations to ensure the algorism has plenty of preferences to go by when filling your schedule.

Be Open

Matchings are based on mutual interest. Your schedule may include some companies you didn’t select. We ask you commit to those meetings because, on the flip side, we’re asking the same of your top selections.

Show Up

Don’t skip meetings; you will leave people in the room waiting for you for 20 minutes.

Leverage Downtime

Breaks in your schedule are a good time to grab a cup of coffee or prepare for the next meeting.

FAQ For EBE Participants

How Do I Choose Which Companies To Meet With?
Choose the companies with whom you wish to meet on the basis of:
  1. Importance of issues you wish to discuss with particular companies
  2. The lack of opportunity you might have to connect with companies during the year
  3. Opportunity to meet with new companies and/or to learn about new product lines
  4. Consider a balance in meetings between large and small companies
Will I Get Appointments With Everyone On My List?

The software assigns meetings according to mutual selection as a first priority. Please understand that your schedule will not include all of your top choices, and will include some companies you did not select, but selected you.

Why Are There Companies On My List That I Didn’t Select?

The EBE concept only works if every participating organization is willing to take some meetings with companies you didn’t request. In return, you’ll get some companies on your schedule that you really want to meet with that didn’t include you in their own rankings.
