Students Majoring in Supply Chain Join MedSupplyChain Conference Inaugural Class of Emerging Leaders
February 15, 2024 – At the MedSupplyChain Conference, Health Industry Distributors Association (HIDA) welcomed the inaugural class of Medical Supply Chain Emerging Leaders – 11 college students from diverse backgrounds studying supply chain management with an emphasis on healthcare distribution.
“We were very pleased to welcome a select group of Emerging Leaders who come from diverse backgrounds and are passionate about healthcare distribution,” said HIDA President and CEO Matthew J. Rowan. “As these future leaders enter the workforce, we want to highlight the career opportunities the medical supply chain has to offer.”
While at the conference, these students attended panel discussions about healthcare distribution, engaged in networking opportunities, and met with industry leaders. They learned about opportunities and challenges in the medical supply chain, and brought a unique perspective to conversations at this important event.
The 2024 class of Emerging Leaders come from diverse backgrounds. They include first-generation college students, students who have studied abroad, and those balancing their education with part-time employment.
