AMS Course: Intro To Healthcare Products
Full course name: Introduction To Healthcare Products: PPE, Injections, Surgery & Sterilization
Product knowledge is essential to your success as a distributor sales representative.
The objective of this course and other introductory-level products courses in the AMS Sales Training Program is to familiarize you with the most commonly used medical products. This will give you the confidence to walk into a physician’s office, nursing home, or hospital with a basic understanding of the products they might ask about. It will also help you identify which product categories you want to study further.
Many of the products covered in this course involve keeping patients and healthcare workers safe. Healthcare-associated infections and injuries are far too common, and your knowledge of safer practices and products will provide real value for your customers.
This course also covers a number of categories of disposable products. Disposables make up a large percentage of the typical distributor salesperson’s business and can be an important source of ongoing sales.
This course will introduce the most commonly used products used for:
- Personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Injections
- Surgical procedures
- Suturing and stapling
- Disinfection, sterilization, and waste management
