HISCI To Merge Into HIDA

Alexandria, VA – The Health Industry Distributors Association (HIDA) today announced a Definitive Agreement with the Healthcare Industry Supply Chain Institute (HISCI) to merge into HIDA, effective September 1, 2018. HISCI members will become Affiliate members of HIDA—a newly created membership category—and HISCI leadership will continue to guide its activities.

“HISCI coming under the HIDA umbrella makes strategic sense given how closely our missions are aligned,” said Bob Glover, HISCI Board Chair. “This merger strengthens HISCI’s value to the industry while preserving our distinct identity.”

“The addition of HISCI’s members into the HIDA network is a ‘win’ for both organizations and their members,” said Matt Rowan, HIDA President & CEO. “This combination will add new dimensions to HIDA’s networking and educational value, and enhance the development of industry best practices.”

The two organizations also announced the HISCI Annual Meeting will take place September 27, 2018, at HIDA’s Streamlining Healthcare Expo & Business Exchange in Chicago, IL.
