Alexandria, VA, Jan. 3, 2023 – Cara Skowronski today officially assumed the role of Chair of the HIDA Board of Directors for 2023. She received the gavel today from outgoing Chair Michael Dubose, President of Fisher Healthcare.

“I’m honored to serve as your chair for 2023,” said Skowronski. “I look forward to collaborating to build the reputation of healthcare distribution and to inspire our leaders of the future to do it even better than we can today.”

Cara Skowronski serves as President of Delasco, a leading supplier of consumables and equipment to dermatologists and estheticians worldwide now based in Dallas. Prior to her time at Delasco, she held the position of VP of Continuous Improvement at StatLab Medical Products, leading the organization’s most important integration initiatives through six years of transformational growth.

“Healthcare distribution has been in the spotlight more often through the challenges of the past few years,” observed Skowronski. “We truly rose to the occasion. While some of what we did was new, what remained constant was that we did whatever it took, as always.”

“Cara brings a wealth of entrepreneurial experience to her new job as chair,” said HIDA President & CEO Matthew J. Rowan. “She has been a dedicated member of our board and a strong advocate for the health distribution industry.”
