Health Systems Expand Their Community Footprint

Most health systems plan to expand in 2018, with physician offices and hospitals being the leading targets for acquisition. Many seek to align supply chain between their new and existing care facilities in order to reduce costs, but find alignment challenging as supply needs can be very different across the continuum of care.
