Streamlining Healthcare Expo To Feature Dr. Geeta Nayyar On Artificial Intelligence

Alexandria, VA, July 18, 2023 – The Health Industry Distributors Association (HIDA) today announced that Dr. Geeta Nayyar, the former Chief Medical Officer at Salesforce, will deliver the keynote remarks at HIDA’s Streamlining Healthcare Expo & Business Exchange, September 19-21, 2023 in Chicago.

Nayyar, also known as “Dr. G,” is a rheumatologist and nationally-recognized leader in health information technology, bridging the divide between clinical medicine, business, and digital health.

Her remarks will focus on the impact artificial intelligence will have on labor shortages, the deployment of AI in the healthcare supply chain, and the future state of healthcare in an AI-enabled world.

“Dr. G brings a unique perspective to the emerging field of artificial intelligence in healthcare,” said HIDA President & CEO Matthew J. Rowan. “Our members from across the continuum of care look forward to hearing about what this innovative and disruptive technology means for the medical supply chain.”

As a Board Member of the American Telemedicine Association and the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Alumni Association, Nayyar helps steer decision-making at some of the nation’s most influential medical organizations. Her work and expertise have earned her appearances on CNN, and PBS, and she is regularly featured on CNBC and Yahoo Finance.

Nayyar is the author of the book “Dead Wrong,” with a fall 2023 release date, which diagnoses medicine’s information illness through rich stories and insights derived from the boardroom. She makes the case that building trust and health literacy at scale requires healthcare leaders to take responsibility for the problems and their solutions.
