HIDA Launches Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council

Alexandria, VA, Feb. 23, 2023 – The Health Industry Distributors Association (HIDA) has launched a new Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Council.

“It benefits our industry to embrace a talented workforce drawn from our diverse communities,” said HIDA President and CEO Matthew J. Rowan. “This Council will encourage career development and nurture opportunities through exchange and sharing of best practices to affect change.”

The HIDA DEI Council is chaired by Saran S. Ross, MHA, ACHE; Senior Manager of Sales Administration for McKesson Medical-Surgical.

The Council consists of wide range of healthcare distribution professionals – including C-suite executives, supply chain managers, talent acquisition leads, sales professionals and diversity and inclusion specialists. Companies across the medical supply chain are represented from distributor, manufacturer, provider, and group purchasing organizations. The Council’s objective is to foster networking and idea sharing about DEI with leaders in the healthcare distribution industry.
