Mary Beth Spencer, MPS
Director, Government Affairs, HIDA

Mary Beth Spencer joined HIDA in 2016 to manage the preparation of HIDA's government resources, primarily researching and writing about current issues that impact members. She actively facilitates member contact on the Hill, liasing with legislators to coordinate meetings and schedules for HIDA's annual Washington Summit Fly-in.

Prior to HIDA, Mary Beth worked on Capitol Hill for former Congressman Greg Walden (R-OR), who in 2020 was Chairman of the Energy & Commerce Committee, former Chair of both the Subcommittee for Communications & Technology and the National Republican Congressional Committee. Mary Beth also directed the national fundraising efforts for former Hawaii Governor Linda Lingle’s bid for United States Senate, and performed policy research & analysis for Pfizer Inc. Mary Beth earned her MPS at George Washington University in DC, and BA in Political Science from Colgate University.
