Alexandria, Va. – The Health Industry Distributors Association (HIDA) recently announced its plan to gather suppliers and manufacturers that have diversity initiatives together for peer-to-peer discussions at its 2017 Streamlining Healthcare Conference, September 26-28, Chicago, IL. The Diversity Supplier ShareGroup forum, taking place Thursday, September 28, from 11:30am-1:00pm, will cover topics including finding customers that value supplier diversity, creating profitable partnerships, building strong manufacturer relationships, and breaking into new markets.
The purpose of the group is to provide a platform to network with business leaders from minority-owned, woman-owned, and veteran-owned companies, as well as share ideas on common challenges. The event will be conducted in a roundtable format led by a panel of three to four supplier executives. Discussion topics are self-selected by participants through pre-event surveys.
Diversity Supplier ShareGroup panelists include:
- Akhil Agrawal, President, American Medical Depot
- Danni Green, Director of Supplier Diversity, Owens & Minor
- Tammy Williams, Division Director, Kerma Medical Products, Inc.
“The Streamlining Healthcare Conference ShareGroups are taking networking to the next level,” said Matthew J. Rowan, HIDA President and CEO. “These provide a unique learning opportunity and professional idea exchange in a small group setting.”
Other conference ShareGroups include Emerging Leaders, Medical Sales Leader, Vendor Relations, and E-Commerce. The three-day conference is located at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare, Chicago, IL. For information on exhibiting or attending, visit www.HIDASHC.org.
