Distributor Company Attendance Grows 30% at HIDA

Streamlining Healthcare Conference

More than 2,000 business partner meetings take place over three days

Alexandria, Va. – Nearly 30% more distributor companies attended HIDA’s 2014 Streamlining Healthcare Conference (September 30 – October 2, Chicago, Ill.) compared to the 2013 event. The annual conference attracted more than 1,000 registrants—distributor attendees represented more than 115 organizations—who took advantage of numerous networking opportunities and conducted over 2,000 business partner meetings.

Specifically, 101 affiliate meeting rooms were reserved for private meetings and more than 41 distributor companies participated in the conference’s first-ever Distributor Expo, which featured an all-new reverse-expo format. HIDA also debuted several other new conference features, including concurrent IDN/Acute/Physician and Post-Acute market outlook sessions, as well as Patient Experience and Value Analysis in Infection Control education summits.

“HIDA’s Streamlining Healthcare Conference has solidified its reputation as the premier event for where the industry meets,” said HIDA Executive Vice President Ian Fardy. “It has become a must-attend meeting for anyone wishing to network and conduct business with key supply chain partners while also receiving unparalleled education from our industry’s experts.”

In 2015, HIDA will develop and launch strategic Innovation Pavilions to deliver new product solutions and education to conference attendees surrounding three supply chain issues and markets: Skin & Wound Care, Infection Control, and Home Healthcare.

The next Streamlining Healthcare Conference takes place in Dallas, TX, September 9 – 11, 2015.
