Action Requested: Ask Your Senators to Protect Gloves and Gowns from Tariffs
Senator
Portman (R-OH) has drafted a Congressional letter asking Ambassador
Lighthizer to remove from the proposed supplemental trade action (i.e. the 4th
tariff list), any good that was previously removed from the supplemental $200
billion trade action (i.e. the 3rd tariff list) before that action
went into effect. Doing so would ensure the removal of gloves, gowns and
other critical medical equipment from the fourth list of proposed Section 301
Tariffs.
HIDA
Government Affairs has drafted an email you can send to your Senators asking
them to sign onto this important Congressional letter. Please take a moment
to contact your Senators and let them know you oppose the consideration of
previously removed commodities as part of the fourth list of tariffs, and
urge your Senator to sign onto the Portman letter to Ambassador Lighthizer.
