The HIDA Advocacy Report highlights key government affairs victories and industry accomplishments that helped protect, advance and promote the interests of medical products distributors.
During the 2018 HIDA Washington Summit, more than 70 distributor and manufacturer executives participated in over 130 meetings with lawmakers and staff from all across the United States – twice as many with members of Congress than in 2017.
HIDA continues to monitor key regulatory issues that affect the supply chain, including emergency preparedness, tariffs, Medical Device Tax, government purchasing reform, and Unique Device Identification (UDI) requirements.
HIDA will continue its successful partnership with federal and congressional leaders, and will support lawmakers who listen to members of the healthcare supply chain through the HIDA Political Action Committee (HIDA PAC).
