Physician Spend Survey
The 2008 Physician Spend Survey profiles spending data collected from more than 400 physician offices. Working with the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), HIDA has collected information about spending patterns for supplies (medical-surgical supplies, lab supplies, vaccines, injectables, specialty pharmaceuticals, in-office pharmaceuticals, and miscellaneous supplies) and equipment (medical capital equipment, health information technology, and miscellaneous equipment). Spending patterns are profiled at the per-practice and per-doctor levels. Information is also presented by practice size, practice type, and specialty.
