This interactive workshop is designed to improve feedback and coaching skills for managers, leaders, mentors, or anyone who aspires to a leadership role. Halligan teaches leaders to focus not on personalities but on the behaviors and outcomes that are expected. Her concepts are helpful in any part of life (even parenting) that involves providing feedback aimed at getting someone to change behaviors. Halligan will ask participants to bring along real-life challenges they have in dealing with underperforming employees or difficult co-workers, and let small groups discuss approaches to each challenge. She’ll show participants how to identify and understand the employee’s motivations and career objectives and incorporate these to provide effective coaching.
