Leadership and Councils

HIDA’s Board of Directors and Council members work towards building a stronger industry for supply chain partners. Acting as a network of support, the Board of Directors and Council members offer direction and planning suggestions for HIDA’s current and future projects.

The Hospital, Physician, and Extended Care Advisory Councils provide guidance to HIDA on research, publications, products and services needed for distributors in their respective market segments. Each council has 10–12 executive level representatives from national and independent member companies. Council members are elected by the HIDA Board of Directors and the Council Chairman.

The mission of the Supply Chain Advisory Council is to gain industry consensus and adoption of common supply chain guidelines to drive efficiencies for all medical/surgical supply chain partners. The Council is comprised of senior executives from major companies and organizations throughout the healthcare supply chain including manufacturers, distributors, providers, GPOs, and information technology companies.
